Satan Bound

Revelation 20:1-3 1 Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, holding the key of the abyss and a great chain in his hand.
2  And he laid hold of the dragon, the serpent of old, who is the devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years; 3  and he threw him into the abyss, and shut it and sealed it over him, so that he would not deceive the nations any longer, until the thousand years were completed; after these things he must be released for a short time.


Isaiah 24:21-23

21 So it will happen in that day, That the LORD will punish the host of heaven on high, And the kings of the earth on earth.  22  They will be gathered together Like prisoners in the dungeon, And will be confined in prison; And after many days they will be punished.  23  Then the moon will be abashed and the sun ashamed, For the LORD of hosts will reign on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem, And His glory will be before His elders.


In the above passage we see the following:

1. This description in Isaiah, part of Isaiah's "Little Apocalypse (chapters 24-26) is consistent with the description in Revelation 20.
